 The
Anholts trained originally as Fine Artists at the Royal College of
Art and the Royal Academy; at the shop visitors have the opportunity
to view and buy some of that Fine Art: original oil paintings, etchings
or dynamic life drawings. The gallery is also used for storytelling
to small groups of children and throughout the year the Anholts offer
free book events for visiting school groups in which they share some
of the secrets of their world of books! |

This historic town is known as the Pearl of Dorset and the stunning coastline
has recently been awarded World Heritage Status because of the abundance
of fossils in the cliffs - Mary Anning was a famous resident of the town.
Lyme Regis has a strong literary heritage and books such as Jane Austen’s
Persuasion and John Fowles’ French Lieutenant’s Woman are
set here. You can walk along the famous Cobb and sandy beaches and visit
the museum. There are excellent restaurants and hotels However, if you
love children’s books, we are confident that the highlight of your
